Belleza Salvaje, as with most of my other works, started as a sketch of a face that I intended to be a part of my Afro Galaxy series. But i try not to be too rigid with ideas and often give my pencil- and imagination- free reign. And so the Afro became jungle foliage, and the woman, a denizen of the wild. She, herself, powerful and untamed.
I worked with the fabulous Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction company to share with you these Giclée Prints of my work, which are made on Epson Professional Printers with Archival Pigment Inks, and printed on Canson Arches Aquarelle, 100% cotton, PH neutral, 240gsm Watercolor Paper (whew!), which complies with the highest archival standards and is extremely age resistant.
